Senior Surveyor - Ratings

The role works across a diverse client base and multiple asset classes,  working closely with senior figureheads in the business, offering a rare chance to gain real visibility, and move onwards in a global business.

What will you be doing?

  • Building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing clients
  • Conduct property inspections to assess condition, compliance, and value
  • Identify structural defects and provide clear, reasoned professional opinions on property suitability
  • Manage and oversee building projects, ensuring construction quality and best practice
  • Administer building contracts, including certification of practical completion
  • Advise clients on building maintenance, repairs, and improvement strategies

What do you need to succeed?

  • Previous experience in Business Rates (desirable, but not essential)
  • Ideally 2–3 years’ PQE Background in the property sector, preferably private practice, with strong commercial awareness
  • Scotland-based (or able to commute easily within Scotland)
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organisation, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset Full UK driving licence
