DIRECTOR – FORENSIC ACCOUNTING & DISPUTES

We are working with one of the UK's fastest-growing independent business advisory firms to appoint a senior Forensic Accounting and Disputes specialist at Director or Managing Director level.
The firm has developed rapidly in recent years and now combines significant scale and national reach with the entrepreneurial culture and agility of an independent advisory business.
Its broader capabilities span restructuring, corporate finance, debt, financial advisory and forensic services, providing an excellent platform from which to further develop its disputes and expert witness offering.
This is an opportunity for an established or emerging expert who wants to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of a forensic practice, while retaining the autonomy to develop their own market profile, relationships and team.
THE ROLE
You will lead complex forensic accounting and dispute assignments for law firms, corporates, investors and other clients across the UK and internationally.
Assignments are likely to include:
- Commercial damages and loss of profits
- Breach of contract and warranty claims
- Contentious business and share valuations
- Shareholder and joint venture disputes
- Post-acquisition and transaction disputes
- Professional negligence matters
- Fraudulent misrepresentation and related claims
- Expert determination Litigation and international arbitration
You will take a senior role throughout the lifecycle of an engagement: assessing claims, determining appropriate methodologies, directing financial analysis, preparing expert reports and supporting or providing oral evidence where required.
Alongside client delivery, you will be encouraged to develop your own practice and market profile.
This will include strengthening relationships with law firms and Counsel, identifying new opportunities, originating work, mentoring junior professionals and helping recruit and develop the next generation of forensic accounting talent.
ABOUT YOU
We are deliberately keeping the brief relatively broad.
You may already be an established Partner or SMD and named expert looking for a more entrepreneurial platform, or an ambitious Director who has spent much of their career supporting leading experts and now wants greater opportunity to establish their own reputation.
You are likely to bring:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant forensic accounting and disputes experience.
- Strong commercial damages, quantum and/or contentious valuation expertise.
- Experience preparing or contributing substantially to expert reports.
- A strong understanding of litigation and/or international arbitration.
- Experience managing complex assignments and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong relationships within the disputes and legal community.
- The confidence to communicate complex financial matters clearly and persuasively.
- A commercial mindset and genuine interest in developing business.
