Senior Consultant (Quantum, Dispute Resolution)

C £75,000 to £100,000 plus Pension, Bonus, Benefits

Our client is a high performing global consultancy firm specialising in forensic, expert witness and dispute resolution services to the construction, energy and engineering industries.  This long established, respected organisation provides a range of specialist services to a broad range of construction and engineering clients which include Law Firms, owner/developers and main contractors.

They are currently experience a period of growth in the UK and are looking to recruit an additional member of the Quantum team. Ideally someone from a QS background, with additional legal qualifications and who has previous experience of managing dispute related matters ideally with part of this spent within consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high quality commercial / quantum dispute resolution services to new and existing clients on high value projects and disputes.
  • Providing support to Expert Witnesses and assisting the Directors on a range of Project/Dispute-related work.
  • Providing other dispute advisory and forensic support duties to internal and external teams where needed 
  • Developing in time into expert witness work if desired 
  • Business Development 
  • Mentoring and coaching junior staff 

Requirements

  • Someone experienced in quantum analysis andmanaging/defending quantum related claims/disputes
  • Ideally at least part of your experience will have been spent working for a contractor in the building, infrastructure, oil & gas or power sector 
  • An interest in in dispute resolution, legal services, claims, arbitration and expert witness work
  • Ideally c10 years post grad experience 
  • Degree qualified in quantity surveying and preferably MRICS / FRICS. Ideally additional legal qualifications or a willingness to work toward adding these
  • Someone with a forensic mind, and a good problem solver.
  • You should possess excellent written and verbal English language, communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player with the drive and motivation to want to develop and progress their career in Dispute Resolution with a business at the forefront of the industry.
