Senior Consultant – Delay Analysis

Responsibilities

 

•Working on behalf of Legal firms, employers and main contractors on high value, complex and often sensitive £multi-million disputes.
•Working with legal counsel and supporting expert witnesses in arbitration and litigation
•Assisting in the preparation of Expert Witness reports and writing / preparing claims defence
•Pursuit or defence of delay claims including advising clients on commercial strategy, and planning related risks and opportunities
•Providing contract advice in relation to planning / time, and due diligence of contractor’s programmes, presenting on delay related issues.
•Analysing and preparing reports on disputes including necessary data analysis and research

 

Requirements

 

•Degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline (engineering, construction management, design etc) ideally with chartership and additional legal training or qualifications.
•Experience of working on engineering, construction, infrastructure or energy projects for a minimum of 5 years as a Planner
•Understanding of different methods of delay analysis and the SCL protocol
•Ideally previous experience of working on construction or engineering disputes in litigation and/or arbitration.
•Someone keen to develop academically, technically and professionally within a high-level professional services environment.

One of North Gate’s core clients are looking to strengthen their planning and delay analysis team in London with an additional experienced professional.

 

The business, an international advisory firm, ideally require someone experienced as a consultant advising on retrospective planning issues, EOT related claims and claims / arbitrations involving time / program / scheduling issues, more than likely this individual will already be established as an externally facing advisor or expert or used to supporting expert witnesses in arbitration or other on high level issues of this type.
