Manager (Quantum, Dispute Resolution)
Birmingham / Hybrid
C £75,000 to £100,000 plus Company Car, Pension, Bonus Scheme, Benefits
Our client is a consultancy firm specialising in expert witness and dispute resolution services to the construction and engineering industries. This long established organisation focuses on providing a range of high level services to a broad range of construction and engineering clients which include Law Firms, owners, main contractors.
Having had a very busy year they are looking to recruit an additional member of the Quantum team. Ideally someone from a QS background, with additional legal qualifications and who has previous experience of managing or defending claims and with a keen interest in dispute resolution and expert witness consultancy as a career path.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high quality commercial advice on quantum / commercial / contractual matters to new and existing clients that include contractors, law firms and employers
- Managing and preparing claims, providing support to Expert Witnesses and assisting the Directors on a range of Project/Dispute-related work.
- Working in teams on major projects often working in teams handling disputes valued over £50M.
- Contributing to business development and promoting the company

Requirements
- Someone experienced in quantum analysis and quantum related claims
- Ideally at least part of your experience will have been spent working for a contractor in the building, infrastructure, oil & gas or power sector
- An interest in in dispute resolution, legal services, claims, arbitration and expert witness work
- Degree qualified in quantity surveying and preferably with additional qualifications in law or willing to work towards these
- You should possess excellent written and verbal English language, communication and presentation skills.
- A team player with the drive and motivation to want to develop and progress their career in Dispute Resolution with a respected practice
