Steve is a senior level HR Generalist with significant experience in managing change for construction businesses, having operated as a Board Level HR Director before moving into consultancy. Steve leads the Strategic HR Consultancy arm of North Gate which works with a range of our clients, including major blue chip businesses who require a fresh HR perspective, or SME / start up businesses where people are a key ingredient but wherein their size mean they can’t always justify a full time HR Director with Steve’s teams know-how. Steve’s industry experience includes 8 years as Group HR Director of an £80m turnover construction group with 300 employees and full strategic and operational HR responsibility in a business with c2000 employees and turnover of £150M, covering ten nations. Steve is well known in our sector for his energy and enthusiasm, not least his professionalism and effectiveness. He is focussed on outcomes, oozes commercial awareness and has an intimate understanding of the connection between People and Business. Steve is always ready to innovate and challenge ‘the norm’ and has a demonstrable track record in applying Strategic HR practice / policy / strategy to directly improve business results. |
