We are working with the board of a privately owned construction consultancy looking to strengthen its Quantity surveying function. This respected, growing business offers full lifecycle, pre and post contract commercial and project management services, as well as dispute resolution services in quantum, delay and project management. They currently seek a senior Quantity Surveying professional to help lead and develop this aspect of the team. This is a key role within a business which can provide holistic commercial, cost, contract and project management services.
Responsibilities
- Cost Management for projects of varying sizes, and differing project complexities.
- Carrying out feasibility studies, Preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
- Supporting and running client prequalification / tender / bid processes
- Assisting clients with internal financial reporting including cash flow forecasts. Preparing and submitting final accounts
- Assisting in claims and dispute resolution in adjudication and litigation, supporting expert witnesses
- Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities and working with colleagues
Requirements
- Ideally a self-starter with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- MRICS chartered Quantity Surveyor with 10 years + professional experience
- UK based experience gained with at least part of your experience spent managing a team within a consultancy
- Leadership and team development experience / attributes
- Strong commercial and contract awareness, high attention to detail
- Experience of delivering consultancy cost management services
