Project Engineer - Subsea Engineering (Oil and Gas)
Aberdeen, UK
£45,000 to £55,000 Basic Salary plus benefits package
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our clients established team as they continue to expand their operations in the subsea oil and gas industry. Responsibilities:
- Managing large-scale projects in subsea operations, infrastructures, and excavation, ensuring successful delivery within project timelines and budgets.
- Utilising strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor project activities, while effectively managing resources and mitigating risks.
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment
- Applying your understanding of subsea operations, infrastructure, excavation techniques to drive operational excellence and quality assurance.
- Both leading and contributing to contract management, procurement, and negotiations
- Leveraging your analytical abilities to proactively identify and resolve project challenges
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Promoting and encouraging knowledge-sharing amongst the team.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Additional memberships and affiliations in project management or engineering may be helpful.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects or packages of projects in subsea engineering and infrastructure or excavation within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in contract management and procurement
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solid problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
- Demonstrable ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Ideally someone demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented mindset
- Familiarity with project management software and methodologies.
