Project Manager

Oxfordshire, UK c£65,000 to £85,000 Basic Salary, plus Company Car, Bonus, Pension and Benefits

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our esteemed clients Construction team in Oxfordshire. The role will focus primarily on medium to large Residential, Commercial, Retail and Education schemes working for this respected main contractor. Reporting into the Director you will be responsible for planning, coordination and management of all aspects of projects/packages in line with overall business strategy. A client facing role, you will have full ownership, responsibility and accountability commencing at the pre-construction phase through to successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Set project timeline. Monitor project deliverables
  • Prepare Procurement strategy with the QS and Prequalification of early stage supply chain
  • Ensure that the QSHE strategy and project resources reflect the scope and programme
  • Responsible for setting the design strategy, including BIM, DRM
  • Managing employee resources and stepping up when needed
  • Maintaining good working relationships with clients and other project stakeholders
  • Reviewing programmes and design with sub-contractors,
  • Managing sub-contractor output to maintain programme. 

Requirements

  • Ideally Degree/HND or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or Building.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivery of major construction projects within the main contractor environment, valued over £2m
  • Commercial/contractual awareness, knowledge of NEC and/or JCT Contract conditions. 
  • Strong QSHE project principles
  • Excellent technical knowledge of building multi million pound projects
  • Good working understanding of M&E/civil/structural/architectural
  • Familiarity with the concepts of BIM
  • SMSTS, CDM/PSCS Awareness
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
