Mechanical Engineering Expert Witness
Location: London or Middle East
Firm: Leading Expert Witness & Dispute Advisory Consultancy

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert Witness to join our clients highly regarded expert witness and dispute advisory practice. As part of a team that supports international arbitration and litigation, you will provide independent expert opinion on complex mechanical engineering matters in sectors such as construction, infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality expert reports for use in formal dispute resolution forums.

  • Provide clear, logical, and robust expert evidence in tribunals, court proceedings, and mediations.

  • Analyse technical documentation and project records to identify relevant mechanical engineering issues.

  • Engage with instructing solicitors, barristers, and clients with clarity and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification.

  • 15+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, including senior project / hands on roles.

  • Previous experience acting as an expert witness is desirable, but senior engineers with demonstrable forensic analysis and report writing skills will also be considered.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
