With over 400 experts and consultants, this diverse and multi-faceted consulting business provides a range of high-level dispute-related, forensic and investigative services to premier-class, Legal, Investor, Insurance and Corporate clients.

The business has begun to invest in its capability to serve new and allied markets, and is currently working with the leadership to develop a new construction, energy and infrastructure expert witness practice and seeks a Leader for its Delay & Disruption team.

A company respected and admired for its exceptionally high standards, and equally for its support and investment in its staff. It already boasts an impressive and established client base. The role, therefore, may suit either a seasoned and reputed Testified Delay Expert with his own following or, it may suit a less experienced Expert Witness ready to challenge themselves in a leadership role and who can commit, long term, to an ambitious strategy. The company is known for its patient and quality-led approach to business development and the focus very much on finding someone who fits with the mantra and culture of the business.

Responsibilities:

·       Leading Delay expert witness services for a renowned Expert witness and Forensic Consulting outfit.

·       Recruiting and developing with the support of the company, a team of delay experts and consultants

·       Providing Expert Witness testimony to a broad client base including tier 1 law firms, insurers, and clients

·       Working on high-value disputes and arbitrations with individual disputes sometimes valued over £1BN+

·       Becoming a key member of the leadership of the business working with the head of the advisory business

·       Undertaking both a hands-on and strategic role in the leadership of the construction expert witness team

·       Developing strong, collaborative relationships with new and existing clients and colleagues.

Experience Required

·       Someone enthusiastic about the construction, dispute resolution and expert witness sector

·       Appointed as a lead Expert Witness in delay

·       Someone who has ideally been cross-examined and understands the court process

·       Ideally Degree qualified or chartered with additional qualifications in construction law.

·       Your background is likely to be in planning, engineering, project management, architecture or surveying.

·       A career ideally demonstrating progression and a high level of technical aptitude.

·       Someone who enjoys working on complex or highly sensitive and confidential work.

·       A confident communicator with very good oral and written English language skills.

This opportunity offers the incumbent the chance to expand their business and team management experience in a first-class setting and take a subject lead in the area of construction delay and disruption analysis.

A highly successful business with strong footings in each of its core markets, and some exceptional people throughout, their success breeds confidence in its team and that transmits to the environment and culture.
