The role requires someone with expertise in planning, time and EOT related matters, to help support the Directors in the overall management and development of this area of the business. We are currently looking for a Product Design Manager to work closely with their Senior Management team.

 

This is an interesting, rewarding, and pivotal role within the business. Managing the external design team and the integrated Design process with the modular supply partners, and overseeing and managing the process for renewed NHBC certifications.

 

We believe this is a role which would suit an experienced person who thoroughly understands the Design Management process within a Tier 1 Contractor, and who has the personality, organisation, and confidence to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. This could be:

 

A Technical / Design Manager with 5+ years of largely relevant sector experience in Residential and possibly sustainable products and MMC, and the demonstrable aptitude / personality to perform the role.

A Senior Technical / Design Manager with experience of managing major Design & Build projects (Building £30m+).

Or a current / former Regional Design Manager who wants to look after all Product Design Manager working autonomously.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

o 5-10+ years’ experience of Design Management with a Main Contractor or Technical Management with a Residential Developer building large high-rise apartments or non-traditional homes.
o Will have managed an external consultant design team on Building projects, typically including those upwards of £30m+ in value (Including Architect, Civil / Structural, and specialist Design Engineers).
o Highly organised and pro-active at problem solving.
o High Rise or Modular Residential experience would be desirable.
